Scaffolding Erection Specialists have been supplying a wide range of access platforms for ECS Engineering Services across the whole network of pipelines and pump stations on the Great Ouse to Essex Water Transfer System for nearly 3 years. ECS Engineering are specialists in delivering high quality, reliable and cost effective engineering solutions to the water utility and related enviroment agencies.
With SES located in the heart of East Anglia, we're well placed to provide the support that is required and specialise in all types of scaffolding with our team having worked on many large projects for other large contractors over the years.
All our opertives have confined space training and all site supervisors have at least a SSSTS, enabling us to work in the most challenging of enviroments on the system whilst maintaining the high standards that we work towards each day.
Not only are we able to provide a vast range of platforms and access following TG20:13 whilst working to SG4:15, we have had to also provide bespoke scaffolds requiring designs, calculations and that extra bit of engineering that is required when working outside the compliance sheets provided by the NASC guidance.
At great Sampford, SES were asked to provide access down to the bottom of each of the sepeated shafts that run down 10m below ground which when operational are filled with water.
ECS had to change and inspect some elements of a 1.5 m wide pipe that goes down in to the chambers with boarded platforms required at every 2m.
